You won’t regret it, and as I say to all of my friends “Santorini is literally the picture of Greece you may have in your head”.HOWEVER, Santorini can feel like a tourist trap these days and it can get extremely crowded in the summer months of June, July, August and September, so if you are looking for authentic Greek island life, some of the best beaches in the Aegean Sea, and a place that offers both relaxation and adventure then go to Paros.
One of the biggest differences between these two islands is their size and how that affects your experience. Santorini is relatively small and focused on the caldera views, so popular areas can feel very crowded. Paros is significantly larger and offers more varied landscapes, meaning you can always find a quiet spot even in high season.
